Renewable Net Metering - Page 1
  1. Amount Due and Account Information

    Find key information about your bill, including the total amount, the date the bill was created, the date your payment is due and your account number.

  2. Monthly Statement

    A summary of your bill for the current billing period, including your previous payment, charges and credits to your account, and the total amount due.

  3. Energy Usage Insights

    See how much of the energy you used this month was produced by your renewable energy system and how much was provided by APS.

  4. Renewable Energy Credit Insights

    See how much excess renewable energy produced by your renewable energy system was sent to the grid this month. Any excess kWhs are applied to your bill in the month generated.

  4. Renewable Energy Production

    Find insights related to your renewable energy production, including the amount of the renewable energy you produced that you used, the amount that was sent to the grid, and how the amount sent to the grid changed compared to last month.

    View the total amount and percentage of energy used from your renewable energy system and provided by APS.

  6. Renewable Energy Production

    Find the amount of energy your renewable energy system produced that was sent to the grid. If you are on a Time-of-Use rate, the credits you received for this energy are shown for both on-peak and off-peak energy.

  7. Renewable Energy Credits

    See how your credit balance was calculated for this month, subtracting the energy from APS you used this month from your credit balance from last month and new credits earned this month. The value for a negative credit balance is the amount of energy you are charged for this month.

Systems Benefits Charge
A charge to cover the costs of programs approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission, including low-income assistance, demand-side management, customer education, environmental, renewables, long-term public benefit research and development, nuclear fuel disposal and nuclear power plant decommissioning programs, and more.

Federal Transmission and Ancillary Services
A charge for transmitting energy from generating stations to customers.

Demand Charge On-Peak - Generation
A charge for generating energy based on your highest hour of energy used during on-peak hours.

Demand Charge On-Peak - Delivery
A charge for delivering energy based on your highest hour of energy used during on-peak hours.

Basic Service Charge
Charges for providing basic service functions and having service available, whether you use energy or not. Basic service charges on your bill include: Customer Account, Metering, Meter Reading and Billing.

Environmental Benefits Surcharge
A charge to cover the cost of programs approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission, including energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

Federal Transmission Cost Adjustment
A charge to cover changes in the cost to transmit energy to customers.

LFCR Adjustor
A charge to recover the costs of providing service through power poles, wires and other infrastructure, that are not collected due to mandated energy efficiency and rooftop solar projects.

Power Supply Adjustment
A charge to cover what APS pays for fuel and purchased power.

Regulatory Assessment
A charge paid by customers of state-regulated utilities to help fund the Arizona Corporation Commission and Residential Utility Consumer’s Office.

Court Resolution Surcharge
This surcharge recovers certain costs APS requested in its 2019 rate case, as required by the Arizona Court of Appeals.

Franchise Fee
A fee paid to your local municipality for use of public land.

Grid Access Charge
This charge better aligns rates for some customers with rooftop solar to their cost of service.
