APS Energy Support Program
If you need assistance paying your monthly energy bill, we can help. Based on your household income and family size, our Energy Support program gives qualified customers a 25% discount (up to $95 off per month) or a 60% discount (up to $165 off per month).
Please review the program income guidelines below to determine your eligibility. Then click on the button below to apply online and submit your application. If you are currently enrolled in the Energy Support program and you would like to apply for the new 60% discount, you must mail a new application to us. You can download the application here. How to Apply
Let us walk you through the Energy Support Program application process.
To qualify for this program, you will need to meet all program income guidelines and provide proof of income for all adults in your household. To stay enrolled, you will need to reapply every 24 months.

Guidelines effective May 13, 2024. *Monthly gross household income is defined by the total household income, before taxes. This includes all money and non-cash benefits available for living expenses from all sources, both taxable and nontaxable, before deductions, including expenses, for all people who live in your home.
Proof of income guidelines
Below are examples of the accepted sources for income verification to enroll in our Energy Support program.
Please provide copies of all sources of income for your household. Submit one of the following for the 60% or 25% discount.
- Last month’s pay stubs
- Last year’s W-2s
- Last year’s tax return (Federal Tax Form 1040, 1040A or 1040EZ)
- Social Security Disability Income
- Official child support or alimony award letters
- Veterans benefits
- Annuities
- Unemployment
OR
Provide copies of one of your public assistance documents for the 25% discount.
- A copy of your EBT card
- A copy of your award letter from the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP)
- A copy of your award letter from the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program (TANF)
Please only submit copies of your income documents as they will not be returned. All documents submitted are confidential and will be securely handled and destroyed after processing is complete.
If you are applying online, you will want to take a photo of your documents and upload them during the application process.
Energy Support with Medical Program
Up to 35% or 60% Discount on Energy Bills
If you qualify for the Energy Support program, or you’re currently enrolled in the program, and you have critical medical equipment at home that requires electricity, you may qualify for the Energy Support with Medical program. This program gives qualified customers a 35% discount (up to $95 off per month) or a 60% discount (up to $165 off per month). Your household income and family size determines the discount level you receive. The program also provides planned outage notifications to you to give your household some extra time to plan.
