APS issues RFP for forest bioenergy resources

PHOENIX – Arizona Public Service Co. (APS) has issued a Forest Bioenergy Resources Request for Proposals (RFP). APS is seeking competitive proposals for projects that utilize biomass feedstocks from high-risk forest lands in Northern Arizona to generate capacity and energy, pipeline quality biogas, or other suitable products. APS will accept proposals for projects that will begin delivery in 2020 or later. The entire RFP process will be monitored and reviewed by a third-party independent monitor.
