On this plan, your energy rate is based on the time of day. To save, use less energy or deploy stored energy during on-peak hours, between 4pm-9pm on weekdays.

Who this plan is right for

This is a pilot plan available to a limited number of large business customers. To be eligible, you must be a non-residential APS customer that:

  • Has onsite energy storage (chemical, mechanical or thermal) and can off-set your energy load during on-peak hours
  • Has an average summer monthly peak site load of 401 kW or greater
  • Does not qualify for Rate Schedules E-34 or E-35
  • Is not taking service under rate rider AG-X

How this plan works

On this plan, your rate is based on what time of day and day of the week you use energy. Rates are higher during on-peak hours, 4pm–9pm weekdays, but lower during all other off-peak hours.

This plan also has two monthly demand charges — one for the highest 15-minute period of usage during on-peak hours and one for the highest 15-minute period of usage during off-peak hours.

Rates on this plan are seasonal. You’ll pay higher rates in the summer months (May–October bills) and lower rates in the winter months (November–April bills).

How to save money on this plan

The less energy you use from the grid during on-peak hours, from 4pm-9pm on weekdays, the more you’ll save.

  • Try to use major equipment during lower-cost off-peak hours — either before 4pm or after 9pm on weekdays, or on weekends.
  • Deploy stored energy during on-peak hours.
  • Try to stagger the use of major equipment. Running one piece of equipment at a time is the best way to manage demand.
